Day 1 - London
Overnight flight from London to Delhi
Day 2 - Delhi
On arrival you will be met by our local representatives who will transfer you to your hotel in New Delhi. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 3 - Delhi - Agra
Drive to Agra. In the early evening your guide will take you to the other side of the River Yamuna for an unobstructed view of the marbled domes and towers of the Taj Mahal bathed in the golden light of sunset.
Day 4 - Agra
Rise early to return to the Taj Mahal to enjoy the most beautiful monument in India as it awakens at sunrise. Your guide will then take you on a tour of the city's other sites which include the impressive Red Fort and I'timad ud Daulah, popularly known as the Baby Taj. This evening you board the overnight sleeper train to Katni, the nearest railhead to Bandhavgarh Natinoal Park.
Day 5 - Katni - Bandhavgarh National Park
Transfer from the railway station to your lodge in Bandhavgarh. In the afternoon you will make your first jeep safari in the park.
Day 6 - Bandhavgarh National Park
Morning and afternoon jeep safaris. If a tiger is spotted in an accessible area you may be able to get a closer view on elephant back.
Day 7 - Bandhavgarh National Park
Morning and afternoon jeep safaris.
Day 8 - Bandhavgarh National Park - Kanha National Park
Today you will drive south to Kanha, not only the biggest park in India, but a very scenic one too with many vegetation and habit types. Time permitting you may take your first game drive in Kanha in the afternoon
Day 9 - Kanha National Park
Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in Kanha. Large numbers of swamp deer have been recorded here and with some luck you will see herds of them in the meadows.
Day 10 - Kanha National Park
Morning and afternoon jeep safaris. With some expert guiding from your naturalist you may be lucky enough to spot a tiger.
Day 11 - Kanha National Park
Final morning game drive in Kanha. After the chance to freshen up you will drive to Nagpur.
Day 12 - Nagpur - Mumbai (Bombay)
Morning flight from Nagpur to Bombay. Fly from Bombay to London, arriving home the same day.
