You won't have to travel far to feel like you are in a completely different world.

    From the Mughal forts of Jodhpur and Gwalior to the palaces of Jaipur and Udaipur, there are majestic buildings in every major city. Situated on the northern coast of Kerala (Malabar), the settlement of Neeleshwar has only just made its way onto the traveller's map due to the opening of Neeleshwar Hermitage.

There are some small shops serving the needs of the local fishing community, a mosque and temple.

Excursions

15km to the north, the ruins of Bekal Fort, jutting out on a promontory into the Arabian Sea, makes for an interesting excursion.
