Travel in regal splendour with your very own personal assistant to attend to your every need.
The Palace on Wheels is considered one of the great railway journeys of the world, reminiscent of travel during the days of the Raj.
The train consists of 14 saloon coaches, two restaurants, a lounge car, and four service cars for staff. Each carriage contains four compartments, which are all en suite with fully functioning shower facilities. A personal assistant is available in each carriage to attend to your every need.
The Palace on Wheels visits the highlights of Rajasthan including Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Ranthambhore National Park, Udaipur and finally the Taj Mahal in Agra.
On board, you'll travel in regal splendour. Each Coach has four twin bedded chambers, thoughtfully decorated in ethnic Rajasthani decor. Channel Music, intercom, attached toilets, running hot and cold water shower and wall to wall carpeting are some of the facilities to make you feel at home. Each saloon has personal attendants or Khidmatgars, who are at your beck and call should you need anything.
The 14 coaches are named after former Rajput states matching the aesthetics and interiors of the royal past. Each saloon has a mini pantry and a lounge to ensure availability of hot and cold beverages, and refreshments and a place to relax and get together.
The train has two lavish restaurants "The Maharaja" and "The Maharani" with a Rajasthani ambience serving palate tickling Continental, Chinese, Indian and Rajasthani cuisines.
