This lovely little property is full of character and located only a 15 minutes walk from the Thamel area; the tourist heart of Kathmandu. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff helpful. Many of the rooms have recently been renovated with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds.

Yak and Yeti is a large 5 star property situated in the heart of Kathmandu. The hotel is famous for the many woodcarvings and chandeliers dating back hundreds of years. Facilities include a good pool, health club, casino and a couple of good restaurants.

Built by Dwarika Das Shrestha, Dwarika’s beautifully recaptures Nepal’s architectural heritage. The Krishnarpan restaurant reputedly boasts the best Nepalese food in Kathmandu and the vibrant poolside bar often has live, traditional music. This is Kathmandu’s most characterful hotel and a fantastic experience.

This is the first wildlife resort in the country and the lodge is well known for the quality and originality of its construction. The 28 rooms are equipped with solar heating for hot water, and all modern amenities are supplied.

Arguably the best resort in the Pokhara area built on a hill top a thousand feet above the Pokhara valley. It is a superb place to stay within sight of the Annapurnas, and each room and the main terrace has an uninterrupted mountain view.

Clean and simple but limited facilities.
The first thing you notice on arrival at Himalaya Lodge is the massive peaks of Annapurna South (7,219m) and its neighbour Hiunchuili (6,441m). The 11 rooms are simple but very comfortable, and the fantastic staff ensures that you are fed (delicious home made food), watered, and very well looked after.

This is a charming hotel situated on a peninsular, with Lake Phewa on one side and a forest covered hill on the other. The lodge offers visitors a tranquil setting with views of the Annapurna range, as well as 'Fish Tail' mountain.

Five small cottages, each containing 2 separate bedrooms, are spread throughout the terraced lawns. The rooms have lovely high ceilings and simple but very stylish slate bathrooms, as well as fantastic views across the valley and up to the Annapurna Range.

The Hyatt Regency is a luxury 5 star city hotel. The rooms are modern in design, well appointed and comfortable. For a city hotel it has surprisingly much character and it comes with all the facilities one would expect from a Hyatt property including a choice of dining options.
