Dhulikel is a village some 30km (18 miles) from Kathmandu, on the Arniko highway to Tibet, lying at an altitude of some 1,470m, (4,822 ft).
Superb views of the Himalayan range and Kathmandu valley are visible from here if you are prepared to climb a little above the village.
There are also easy walks around the village.
Go shopping for some fantastic souvenirs at Mahaguthi in Kathmandu - an ethical craft shop which helps people from remote and mountainous parts of Nepal sell their traditional handicrafts.
