Yala National Park Jeep Safari

You can hope to see many species of birds including storks, kingfishers and peacocks. The animals residing in the park include crocodiles, elephants and buffalo.

Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage

The Millennium Elephant Foundation, just down the road from the Elephant Orphanage, is a much smaller sanctuary which looks after old and sick elephants and has a small museum providing information on these fascinating creatures.

Tea Estate Visit

Driving through the twisting roads of the tea estate, you see the colourful women, mainly of Tamil origin, at work in the plantations.
