Moroccan tourism industry 'booming': 25-09-2007

An increasing number of tourists are seeing Morocco as the perfect holiday destination, new figures reveal.
Research from the north African country's Department of Tourism out last week showed that 4.3 million tourists visited between January and July 2007.
This represented a ten per cent year-on-year increase, with an estimated one million tourists visiting Morocco in July alone.
Some 261,000 Britons visited the country over the period, the survey showed, with Marrakech the most popular destination.
Casablanca, Tangier, Fez, Rabat and Agadir were the next most popular respectively.
The French were most likely to visit, with 1.7 million travelling to Morocco in the first seven months of this year.
Around 795,000 Spanish people visited Morocco during the period, with a further 285,000 Belgians also visiting and 211,000 from the Netherlands.
