UK volunteers on charity desert drive: 30-06-2008

An adventurous group of 28 travellers led by an MRSA survivor is to drive from the UK to Morocco to raise cash for African children's charities.
Former restaurateur Karl Scarr, 44, is making the trip for the second time after raising money for a Moroccan babies' orphanage last year.
He said he's changed his outlook and wants to concentrate on things that matter like taking care of children and animals.
"Now I don't care about money, and I've enrolled at Anglia Ruskin University to study zoology.
"I want to help make a difference to other people's lives, particularly children, and to do something to help with conservation."
Mr Scarr will also host a fundraising ball for Moroccan dignitaries in Tangiers on the 11 day round trip.
The group will go deep into the Sahara desert, the world's largest hot desert.
Along the way, the travellers can expect to witness some of Morocco's 454 species of bird and perhaps some lizards and camels.
