Temple of Philae, Aswan, Egypt
The highlight of this excursion is crossing the Nile in a boat and being greeted by sights of the floodlit Philae Temple silhouetted against the rocks and surrounding water.
It is a lovely experience, but be warned it is a popular excursion and as a result boats can be crowded.
In the Winter there are two shows at 18:45 and 19:45. In Summer the times change to 19:00 and 20:00. Duration of the excursion is approximately 2 hours.
Visit the Tentmakers' Bazaar (Souq al-Khayamiyya) in Islamic Cairo to buy beautiful appliqué cushion covers and quilts as souvenirs.
