Day 1London - Tehran
Fly from London to Tehran, arriving early the following morning.
Transfer to your hotel and have a rest before being picked up with your driver and guide and taken on a quick shopping excursion so you can buy the correct clothing for your trip. Then spend the afternoon further exploring Tehran with your guide.
Today visit some of Tehran's magnificent museums.
Travel by car high into the hills to the tiny village of Abyaneh. The latter part of this drive is particularly beautiful and there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos.
In the afternoon stroll around the village and enjoy the fresh air and views.
Travel via Nain to Yazd.
Spend the day with your guide exploring the warren of streets that criss cross this mud brick town. In the afternoon you may wish to visit ancient Zoroastrian sights including the Towers of Silence.
Travel to Shiraz. This is a long journey through desert scenery and you`ll stop off along the way at Pasargadae and the austere Tomb of Cyrus. Have a little time on arrival to explore Shiraz.
This morning set off with your driver and guide to see the magnificent relief`s, imposing gateways and exquisite staircases at Persepolis, one of the greatest successes of the Achaemenid Empire.
Having spent the morning exploring Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam and Naqsh-e Rajab return to Shiraz and perhaps take in the Tomb of Hafez or the beautiful Masjed-e Vakil Mosque.
Travel to Iran`s masterpiece, Esfahan. Spend the rest of the day exploring one of the finest cities in the Islamic World perhaps taking a sunset stroll along the Zayandeh River.
Spend the day exploring Esfahan with your guide, taking in Imam Square where you can admire the spectacular Imam and Sheikh Lotfallah Mosques and Ali Qapu and Chehel Sotun Palaces.
At leisure in Esfahan. You may wish to take in the bazaar, visit the Armenian quarter or simply wile away a couple of hours in one of the many tea houses in and around Imam Square. In the late afternoon enjoy a dinner with a local a family in Esfahan.
Travel back to Tehran via Qom, the heartland of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
