Day by Day

Day 1London - Amman

You fly from London to Amman, where you will be greeted and driven to your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 2Amman

This morning you drive up north to explore the Roman ruins of Jerash with a local guide. Afternoon is at leisure back in Amman - explore the city under your own steam.

Day 3Amman - Petra

An early start this morning as it`s around five to six hours drive down the 5,000 years old King`s Highway to Petra. En-route you will stop to see Mount Nebo, with its spectacular views over the Dead Sea; the Christian mosaics of Madaba; and the crusader castle of Kerak. In Petra you will stay for three nights at your hotel.

Day 4Petra

Today you will enjoy a full day guided tour of Petra. Your private guide will be with you for around two-three hours, after which you have some time to explore further on your own. Although it is probably the highlight of your holiday, bring your walking shoes and be prepared for an inspiring but energetic day!

Day 5Petra

One day is never enough to fully take in the wonders of Petra, so you have an extra day to explore under your own steam.

Day 6Petra - The Dead Sea

Beginning your journey back north, you'll stop to experience the unique charms of the Dead Sea, with one night at one of the luxurious hotels. On the way you'll enjoy a guided tour of the vast, stunning landscapes of Wadi Rum.

Day 7The Dead Sea - Amman - Cairo

In the morning you'll be driven to Amman airport for a flight to Cairo. Here you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel for a three night stay.

Day 8Cairo

This morning you will be met at your hotel by your private guide for a full day tour of the pyramids at Giza, Memphis and Saqqara.

Day 9Cairo

Today you will be picked up by your guide for a half day tour of Cairo Museum, where the apparent disarray belies the vast array of treasures on display.

Day 10Cairo - Aswan

After breakfast you'll be taken to the airport in time for a short flight to Aswan, where you'll be greeted and driven to your cruise ship in time for lunch. Afterwards there is an excursion to Philae Temple, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. In the late afternoon you set sail to Kom Ombo and there is a reception cocktail aboard. There are evening visits to the Kom Ombo temple followed by dinner on aboard. The boats moors overnight at Kom Ombo.

Day 11Aswan

The boat sails on to Edfu in the early morning. After breakfast, there will be a tour of Horus Temple. Your boat then sails to Luxor. During the remainder of the day there is plenty of time to relax and you are served lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

Day 12Aswan

In the morning, after breakfast, you will have an excursion of the West Bank taking in the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut`s Temple, the Workers` Village and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch on board you will then have a visit to the East Bank Temples of Luxor and Karnak. Afternoon tea and dinner will be served aboard the boat.

Day 13Aswan - Luxor - El Quseir

You will disembark the boat after breakfast and be driven to the Red Sea, for three nights of rest and relaxation.

Day 14El Quseir

Day at leisure.

Day 15El Quseir

Day at leisure.

Day 16El Quseir - Hurghada - Cairo

After breakfast you'll be driven to the airport for a flight to Cairo, in time for your flight back to London, which lands this evening.
