Day by Day

Day 1Casablanca

Fly from the UK to Casablanca. On arrival you'll be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2Casablanca - Rabat

This morning you have a short drive to Rabat, and after lunch at your hotel you'll enjoy a guided tour of the city. The capital is a calmer and less intricate city than Fez and Marrakesh, making it a good introduction to the Imperial cities.

Day 3Rabat - Fez

En route to Fez you stop to visit the impressive Roman ruins of Voloublis and the lesser known Imperial city of Meknes. Your riad in Fez is centrally located in the medina and you have a short walk up an alleyway to access the property. Your luggage will be transported for you and you'll stay in Fez for two nights.

Day 4Fez

You have a full day tour of Fez, a fascinating city with an ancient medina where tradition still rules everyday life. At the end of the tour you can enjoy a mint tea on the roof terrace at your riad. As dusk falls you can look over the city as the call to prayer echoes around you - an unforgettable experience.

Day 5Fez - Erg Chebbi

Your discovery of the south of Morocco begins today as you drive south through the Atlas mountain ranges to the edge of the Sahara, a long but interesting journey. You now travel in to the desert by 4x4, before a short camel trek to the top of the dunes to watch the sunset.

Day 6Erg Chebbi - Skoura

This morning you leave the desert behind and travel along the Dades Valley on the route known as 'The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs'. You have time to explore the Todra gorge and then continue on to your accommodation in Skoura, where you stay for two nights.

Day 7Skoura

You have the day at leisure to relax after a few busy days, although you may prefer to arrange an excursion to visit the local palmerie and crumbling kasbahs in the area.

Day 8Skoura - High Atlas Mountains

Today your journey takes you up in to the High Atlas Mountains on the winding Tizi - n - Tichka pass. You get off the beaten track in a 4x4 for part of the journey, before arriving at a charming accommodation for a two night stay.

Day 9High Atlas Mountains

A day to relax or trek in the mountains and explore the surrounding Berber villages.

Day 10High Atlas Mountains - Essaouira

Your journey today takes you down through the foothills of the Atlas, skirts Marrakesh and continues on to the charming coastal town of Essaouira, where you'll stay for two nights.

Day 11Essaouira

In Essaouira you can meander through the medina, watch the fishing boats return with the catch of the day, stroll along the sandy beach and watch the sun set over the Atlantic from the impressive Portuguese ramparts.

Day 12Essaouira - Marrakesh

After a road transfer of around three to four hours, you'll finish your tour of Morocco in the exotic city of Marrakesh, where you stay for three nights.

Day 13Marrakesh

Today you'll enjoy a guided tour of the main sights of Marrakesh, many of which are located within the city walls which enclose the ancient medina.

Day 14Marrakesh

The Jardins Majorelle offer a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of the city and are located near the French quarter, where you may like to stop for lunch. You also have time for some last minute shopping in the souk. The main square, the Jemaa El Fna, is surrounded by cafes, a perfect place from which to view the activities in the square below.

Day 15Marrakesh

You transfer to the airport this morning for your return flight to the UK, arriving back on the same day.
