Accommodation in Syria: Jdayde Hotel
Our Rating: Medium
Jdayde Hotel
Aleppo
Named after the Christian district in which it is located, the Jdayde hotel is fresh and a touch more continental in feel than other townhouse hotels in the city. Aleppine touches are here and there, but the absence of dark wood and Ottoman red carpets make it feel quite bright.
The hotel is newly opened and is quite compact. There are also quite a few steps throughout the property.
All the rooms are off one corridor, which again differentiates it from some of the other traditional townhouse conversions. Also, there is no courtyard, just a small roof terrace and sunny breakfast area.
