10th Asia Arts Festival18773692Travellers in China this month will be able to take in more than 2,000 performance artists from 20 Asian countries at a huge festival of arts, according to XinhuaNet.com.

The 10th Asia Arts Festival is to be held in Zhengzhou and Kaifeng, where visitors will be able to take in a whole plethora of Asian cultures in a short space of time.

Almost 40 performing troupes are set to attend the event, with travellers being treated to 13 straight days of festival fun.

The event is sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Henan government and is another cultural coup to add to the Olympic and Paralympic games, both of which took place in Beijing this year.

Beginning on September 26th, the festival will feature live performances, exhibitions, films and crafts.

There is expected to be a big interest in China from British travellers this year after Team GB finished the Beijing Olympics in fourth place with 47 medals.
