With jagged cliffs and escarpments, dense forests, crashing waterfalls and hidden temples, Seoraksan National Park is one of Korea’s most stunning regions, particularly during mid-October’s maelstrom of autumn colour. From here you could visit the magnificent Sobaeksan National Park and the lovely mountain resort of Danyang, exploring its Buddhist caves and boating on the lake. Nearby, Suanbo has energising hot springs and good winter skiing, whilst a grand temple lies amidst the verdant scenes of the Mt Songnisan National Park.
