Located within easy reach of the city of Hualien, Taroko Gorge offers dramatic rock scenery and forest, as well as hot springs. There are some great boutique hotels here with spas and hot spring water pumped directly into your room. From Taroko you can drive on to Sun Moon Lake and beyond.
