Many still wear there traditional dress and so a visit to these regions is often a colourful one!

This is not one would expect from a Crowne Plaza property and is a complete diversion from the high rise buildings normally associated with this international chain.

Set in landscaped grounds on the very edge of Lijiang's fascinating Old Town, this 5-star hotel comprises a village-like arrangement of small villas and buildings, separated by stone paths and small waterways.

From the moment you first step into the lobby of the Crowne Plaza with its stunning backdrop of Jade Dragon Mountain, visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the experience is truly relaxing and of the highest quality.

Staff are professional and attentive and the hotel offers a pool and gym, with a comprehensive breakfast that one would expect from a 5-star hotel. The hotel's location on the edge of the Old Town, beautiful rooms and relaxing grounds make this easily the best hotel in Lijiang.
