Continuing through the striking countryside, Tonghai is a sleepy little town unaccustomed to visitors. Wander the quiet pedestrian streets, or take a pony cart ‘taxi’ to visit Xiushan Park.
With its beautiful setting and natural spring water, this is especially popular with locals who gather to play mahjong or perform impromptu operas.
