    In some of the more rural parts of the country ethnic minority groups can be found in large numbers. Many of the same tribes that are found in Laos, Cambodia and Thailand have also settled in Yunnan province and also in Guizhou and Guangxi. Many still wear there traditional dress and so a visit to these regions is often a colourful one!

Excursions in China: Dabao Temple Hike

The trek begins at Ruobola Hill, heading through the forests towards Dabao. During the journey the highest sections are around 3500 metres above sea level.

The trek begins at Ruobola Hill, heading through the forests towards Dabao. During the journey the highest sections are around 3500 metres above sea level.

The scenery along the way is very beautiful, and typical of the Zhongdian region.

Close to the temple you can visit local Tibetan villages, including Zuomuguzang and Cuolong.

After visiting the temple you can be driven back to your hotel. The total walking time is 6 hours.
