Accommodation in Japan: Gora Tensui Ryokan

Our Rating: Deluxe

Gora Tensui Ryokan

Hakone & Mt Fuji

Like most resort hotels and inns in Hakone, the Gora Tensui Ryokan prides itself on its hot spring facilities and there are rooms with private outdoor hot spring pools as well as public baths and saunas. On arrival, you can sit and enjoy your welcome drink in the Ashiyu Cafe, as your feet dangle into a hot spring bath underneath the bar.

The Ashiyu is one of the few of its kind in Japan. The rooms combine a blend of Japanese and Western styles with understated style and subtle elegance throughout. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the inn is conveniently located right by Gora train and cable-car station.

Tensui's resident chef has his own unique style and ingredients are locally sourced and change according to the seasons.
