Hakone Ginyu is one of the finest examples of the traditional ryokan inn anywhere in Japan and it places its emphasis on subtle and discreet elegance, with a hint of Southeast Asian influence.

Indeed the owner sites Bali, Indonesia, as his inspiration for the rich and colourful hues accompany his faithful adherence to local and traditional Japanese architecture and style.

The Ginyu is conveniently located close to Miyanoshita station, on the Hakone Tozan train line.

The emphasis here is on luxurious relaxation and you will feel pampered in every way. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped, and breakfast and dinner are included.

The ryokan is noted as a spa resort and all baths are fed by the mineral-rich thermal water from the Mount Fuji region. There are public spas with open air baths on each floor, including an infinity pool.

Rooms are both Japanese and Western style with mountain views which can be enjoyed from your own terrace with private outside hot-spring bath.

Spa treatments are available as an extra.
