Accommodation in Japan: Kawaguchi Minshuku

Our Rating: Simple

Kawaguchi Minshuku

Miyajima Island

The Kawaguchi minshuku is a small family run inn with warm, wonderful hosts who speak great English.

The rooms are Japanese style with futon mats on tatami floors, laid out every night. There are shared bathing facilities, reserved for you in advance, in the form of a wonderful large hot bath. Dinner is served in the dining room, tastes absolutely heavenly and is served in the traditional Kaiseki manner.

The minshuku has a sun trap room on the top floor where you can relax and read books overlooking the shrine in the harbour.
