Join one of the capital's top sushi chefs for a private sushi-making course, learning just some of the fine details that go into making sushi and what it takes to be a highly skilled sushi chef.
Travel by train via Nagoya to the pretty postal town of Tsumago. Here enjoy some delicious and locally sourced ryokan food.

Travel via Nagoya to Takayama at the foot hills of the Japanese Alps.

Spend the morning at leisure perhaps exploring Nishiki Markets where amongst the wonderful food stores you can buy top quality knives and kitchenware. In the afternoon you’ll be met by your guide who will take you on a private guided geisha walk around historic Gion. At leisure to explore Kyoto further before settling down in the evening to a fantastic tempura meal at Yoshikawa Restaurant.
Travel via beautiful Himeji castle to Hiroshima and spend the rest of the day exploring the Peace Park.
Spend the day at leisure. You may wish to take a ferry across to Miyajima Island. In the evening head to Okonomi-mura to try Hiroshima’s version of okonomiyaki.
Take the bullet train back to Tokyo for a final evening in Japan before your flight home tomorrow morning.
