Day by Day

Day 1London

Fly from London to Japan, arriving later the next day.

Day 2Tokyo - Osaka

You arrive in Tokyo, and will be met by our representative who will assist you with your travel documents and your onward transfer to Osaka train station. From the station, the hotel is a short taxi ride away.

Day 3Osaka - Tokushima

Travel by bus to Tokushima via Awaji-jima island and across the world`s longest suspension bridge.

Day 4Tokushima

Explore Tokushima with recommendations for your time- including the Bunraku puppet theatre.

Day 5Tokushima - Takamatsu

Take the train to Takamatsu, home to one of Japan`s most beautiful gardens the Ritsurin-koen.

Day 6Takamatsu

Today, visit nearby Naoshima island and its world class art museums.

Day 7Takamatsu - Iya Valley

Drive from Takamatsu to the rural and removed Iya Valley. Explore the area by car and on foot in the afternoon.

Day 8Iya Valley

Today you have the chance for a bit of light activity; white water rafting in the Oboke Gorge. The course is suitable for beginners and children.

Day 9Iya Valley - Matsuyama

Drive to the small town of Kannonji and then drop the car off here. Take the train onwards west to Matsuyama, Shikoku's principal city and oldest hot spring resort in Japan.

Day 10Matsuyama

Explore the castle and gardens or just relax in the onsen waters of your hotel.

Day 11Matsuyama - Tokyo

Travel by train across to Okayama, stopping in to see the top-rated Kourakuen Garden before continuing north to Tokyo. The evening is at leisure.

Day 12Tokyo

Take the limousine bus to the airport for your return flights to the UK.
