Day by Day

Day 1London - Moscow

Fly to Moscow this morning. On arrival at the airport you will be met by your driver and guide who will take you to your hotel in Moscow.

Day 2Moscow

Today you'll visit Moscow's Novodevichy Convent, as well as the Tretyakov Gallery of Russian Art. In the early evening you transfer to the MS Tolstoy. A Bread and Salt ceremony is arranged on the ship, followed by an information briefing.

Day 3Moscow

Begin your exploration of Moscow today with a cruise on the Moskva River. After lunch you will visit the magnificent Kremlin, and the cathedrals housed within the Kremlin Walls. Back on board the ship this evening a 'Captain's Cocktail' is arranged.

Day 4Uglich

Arrive in Uglich this afternoon, where you take a tour to some of its most beautiful churches and cathedrals, including the Transfiguration Cathedral and the Church of Dimitry on the Blood.

Day 5Goritsy

You arrive in the peaceful Russian town of Goritsy today, You spend your time exploring the Monastery of St Cyril and the Museum of Icons.

Day 6Kizhi

Your cruise ship arrives in Kizhi late this afternoon. Kizhi is home to one of the most beautiful churches in Russia - the Church of the Intercession. You take a walking tour around the island, stopping at the Museum of Wooden Architecture this evening before returning to the ship.

Day 7Mandrogui

Today your cruise ship reaches the village of Mandrogui, where you will enjoy a local shaslik meal before the ship continues its journey.

Day 8St Petersburg

You arrive in St Petersburg today, where you will have a tour of the city's key sights, including a visit to the outstanding galleries of the Hermitage.

Day 9St Petersburg

You disembark the MS Tolstoy today. After checking-in to your hotel you'll be taken to see Peterhof, the Summer Palace of Peter the Great.

Day 10St Petersburg

A full day at leisure to explore St Petersburg under your own steam.

Day 11St Petersburg

You finish your trip on a real high with a visit to the sumptuous palace of Catherine the Great at Pushkin. You'll then transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
