Day 1London

This evening fly from London to Doha.

Day 2Doha - Kathmandu

Arrive into Doha this morning where you will connect with your onward flight to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your journey.

Day 3Kathmandu

Today enjoy a tour with your driver and guide, taking in some of Kathmandu's highlights.

Day 4Kathmandu - Gongkar - Tsetang

Transfer this morning to the airport for your flight from Kathmandu to Gongkar Airport in Tibet, where you will be met on arrival and driven to Tsetang. The rest of the day should be taken at a leisurely pace to acclimatise to the high altitude.

Day 5Tsetang

Visit Samye Monastery, Tibet's oldest, today with your guide and also travel to the remote Yambulagang Palace.

Day 6Tsetang - Gyantse

Drive to Gyantse today along the scenic Southern Friendship Highway. You'll reach a 5000m pass which affords stunning views of the surrounding lakes. The rest of the day is free in Gyantse.

Day 7Gyantse

Spend the day visiting the impressive Pelkor Chode Monastery and the Kumbum with your guide. Afterwards you have time to wander around the old town and maybe visit Gyantse Fort.

Day 8Gyantse - Shigatse

Drive to Shigatse in the morning and visit Tashilunpo monastery, the former seat of the Panchen Lama, in the afternoon. Afterwards have some time at leisure to wander around and visit the local markets.

Day 9Shigatse - Lhasa

Today drive to Lhasa along The Northern Friendship Highway and on arrival in Lhasa the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 10Lhasa

This morning visit the sacred Jokhang Temple before seeing the debating monks at Sera Monastery. This afternoon's excursion takes you to the former Summer Palace of the Dalai Lama.

Day 11Lhasa

This morning visit the stunning Potala Palace before continuing on to the monasteries of Drepung and Nechung.

Day 12Lhasa - Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport this morning for your onward flight to Kathmandu where on arrival you will be greeted and taken to your hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13Kathmandu - Doha

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to London Heathrow via Doha.
