This simple but beautifully decorated hotel is inside the citadel walls of Khiva, so perfectly located for exploring on foot. The owner is renowned for his traditional wood carving, which he has used to largely tasteful effect in the hotel.

Food here is very good, the service prompt and the feel is of a welcoming family home.
