Canada and Alaska
We work with a number of carefully selected cruise companies whose journeys of adventure include, amongst other places, the infamous Northwest Passage, the Inuit capital – Iqaluit – on Baffin Island, a Viking route that combines Greenland and Newfoundland as well as dedicated cruises to the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen.
Accommodation on these ships is simple but this is compensated for by the smaller, more intimate size of the vessels. Fascinating expert guest speakers bring natural history and anthropology to life and also conduct shore-based activities to some of the planet’s most fascinating and remote regions. Most days will see you getting off the ship once and often twice a day in small, guided groups. Cruises, lasting seven nights or more, can be seamlessly woven into tailor-made journeys through Canada and Alaska.

The Peregrine ships will give you a true expedition voyage with excellent guides who really know their subjects. The ships also operate an open-bridge policy; this is a great place to spend time wildlife-spotting or watching the Captain and his officers at work.

A very comfortable way to see the sights of the Arctic, the Antarctic Dream is a Chilean ice-reinforced ship with just 39 external cabins over three decks.
Having recently undergone a two-year refurbishment, the M/V Plancius launched in November 2009 and will be providing expedition cruises of the highest quality in Antarctica and the Arctic.

As working scientific vessels the ships are not luxurious but have been comfortably adapted for passengers.

The Prince Albert II was launched in 2008 and has already established itself as one of the most luxurious expedition vessels in Polar waters.
