Situated in the central neighbourhood of Montserrat, La Cayetana is charming hotel recently created from a house full of history.

Built in 1820, it offers 11 double rooms around 2 colonial style patios, some of them with views of the garden and its 100 year old fig tree. Modern decoration is combined with simple antique furniture and each room is comfortable and distinctive.

The surrounding neighbourhood has profited enormously from Argentina's recent popularity with foreign visitors. Historically an affluent district, Montserrat suffered several generations of neglect, and whilst still a little worn around the edges, is now being much improved to meet the standards of international tourists. Recently some excellent restaurants and bars have opened a few steps from La Cayetana.

The hotel is also within easy reach of the Obelisco and neighbourhood of San Telmo, where you will find antiques, art galleries and museums.
