Accommodation in Brazil: Cristalino Jungle Lodge
Our Rating: Medium
Cristalino Jungle Lodge
The Amazon Rainforest
The Cristalino Jungle lodge has an incredibly privileged location, bordering the Cristalino State Park in the southern Amazon. It is surrounded by forest on all sides and only accessible by boat.
The style is rustic and simple and the buildings are a mix of wood and brick with thatched or brick roofs, decorated with local furniture and crafts. There is an extensive trail system, a 50 metre tall tower that rises above the forest canopy and a library.
The area is a haven for bird watchers; Alta Floresta is considered by many ornithologists as one of the most diverse destinations for bird watching in the entire Amazon and your your naturalist guides will lead you on trails of discovery exploring the area and the wildlife.
There are also opportunities for kayaking, night walking and rapelling. After a day in the jungle guests can enjoy an extensive range of national and indigenous dishes, prepared in a wooden stove.
