    For wildlife viewing, there are few better places in the world than the Pantanal between April and September. The animals and birds found here are similar to those found in the nearby Amazon, but they are much easier to spot in the Pantanal. Animals seen here include capybara, caiman, anteater, armadillo, otter, marmoset and even jaguar and puma.

Iguaçu Falls

The Sheraton has a spectacular location right inside the Iguazu National Park. It is a modern, unattractive building on three floors, with 181 rooms either with 'falls view' (although this term is a generous one) or jungle view from the small balconies.

The hotel has a good range of facilities including a nice swimming pool and sun deck, tennis courts and gymnasium with sauna, as well as (rather expensive) restaurants and landscaped gardens.

Although the Sheraton is further from the falls than the Cataratas on the other side, its views are unobstructed whilst those of the Cataratas are largely blocked by vegetation. No other hotel in Argentina or Brazil will match the Sheraton's views.
