  • Take a trip into the jungle that surrounds the Iguacu Falls, staying at a lodge and learning about the area's flora and fauna.
  • Take a more active approach to your stay in Rio, exploring the city with your guide by bike and kayak and hiking to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain to really deserve the views!
  • Extend your stay in Salvador and head inland into the state of Bahia, through the sugarcane plantations to hidden riverside colonial towns, flat top mountains and caves and grottos.

On arrival in Rio you will be met by a local guide and after leaving your luggage at your hotel will be taken for breakfast and introduced to this exciting city.

At leisure to explore Rio's beaches, museums, galleries and shops.

Day 4Rio de Janeiro

At leisure to further explore this exciting city or relax on the beach.

Day 5Rio de Janeiro - Iguacu

Today you will fly to Iguacu where you will be met and taken to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 6Iguacu

Time at leisure. We can organise guided excursions to both sides of the falls before you travel, or you can book them locally.

Day 7Iguacu - Salvador

Today you will fly to the city of Salvador in the state of Bahia. Transfer to your hotel in the charming historic centre of the city.

Day 8Salvador

At leisure to explore Salvador and its beaches.

Day 9Salvador

Today you might like to visit some of the city's churches or museums, head to its beaches or to a local market.

Day 10Salvador - Praia do Forte

Transfer along the coast to your hotel in the beach village of Praia do Forte.

Day 11Praia do Forte

At leisure at the beach. You might like to visit the local turtle project.

Day 12Praia do Forte

At leisure at the beach, this area is great for windsurfing or you can explore the little village and its shops and restaurants.

Day 13Praia do Forte - Salvador - Sao Paulo

Transfer back to Salvador from where you'll fly to Sao Paulo and then home to the UK.
