Pantanal Wildlife Centre is An excellent location for bird watching, it offers the only observation tower to a jabiru stork nest. An additional 16 metre tower is available for a 360 degree view over the landscape, and a chance to spot monkeys.
On the river adjacent to the property, boat rides can be taken on motorised canoe or, exclusive to the lodge, electric 2 person canoes (when available) which are ideal for observing wildlife behaviour up close.
The lodge is one of the best sites for predictable viewing of wild Giant Otters from a distance of only 5 metres away. These 'wolves of the water' can sometimes come close to the boat, craning their necks and snorting loudly.
The lodge offers excursions by comfortable safari truck along the Transpantaneira highway, on foot and riding.
Hiking trails are graded for ease of navigation and length but it is best to have a guide with you in order to observe more.
