International arts and crafts from Chile: 11-12-2007

The International Exhibition of Traditional Arts and Crafts takes place in Chile during late November and early December and it is a huge event with lots of colourful displays.
An annual event, the Parque Bustamante is packed out when the display is on and over 150 artists come from all over South America to show off their home-made products.
Each year has a theme and this year is the turn of Colours and Textures of Guatemala and traditional costumes, jewellery and masks will show off Guatamalan culture in all its glory.
Holidaymakers visiting the event can also see live music and dance shows that will start the festival and continue to the end.
Chile is a region of diverse culture and music plays a big part in the traditional offerings of the area.
Cueca is the national dance and differs slightly from the more melodic national song of tonada.
Holidaymakers travelling to the area will be able to view much of South America's vibrant and diverse cultures in one place during the event as well as the rich and exciting prospects offered by Chile.
