Machu Picchu
Located close to the entrance to the citadel of Machu Picchu, the Sanctuary Lodge is an Orient Express property that offers high quality accommodation and service in an enviable position.
Staying here means that you can still be exploring the ruins when all the other visitors have left the site.
Do not expect a classic view of Machu Picchu from any of the rooms but stunning views of the surrounding mountainside and cloud forest can be had from the beautiful gardens.
The buffet lunch restaurant can get awfully crowded at lunch so time your lunch break tactically (all meals are included during your stay). The Tampu restaurant becomes a charming and refined location for dinner after a busy day exploring Machu Picchu. The Sanctuary Lodge is the perfect accompaniment to your Machu Picchu experience.
