    Machu Picchu is the obvious draw of any trip to Peru, but there are many more Inca and pre-Incan sites to interest archaeologists and historians at all levels. From the Sacred Valley of the Inca’s to the lesser explored pre-Incan ruins on the northern coast and the vast pre-Incan city of Kuelap, Peru has the greatest array of sites in South America.

Rio Sagrado is beautifully located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas overlooking the Urubamba River.

Only a few miles from the town of Urubamba and 15 minutes from Ollantaytambo train station, this new hotel is ideally located before continuing on to Machu Picchu. The 21 suites and villas are furnished to an excellent standard, all with private terraces overlooking the river.

The property has an exclusive feel about it and is proud of the local and international food it serves in "El Huerto" restaurant. Natural materials have been used in the construction of the property, highlighting the ecological awareness that the hotel promotes.

There is a lovely spa providing a range of treatments and additional excursions can be organised by the hotel such as horseriding, mountain biking, canoeing and town walks.
