Our Tailor-made suggestions for this itinerary are:

  • Add a few nights in the Tambopata Reserve of the Peruvian Amazon, easily accessible from Cuzco.
  • Fly to Iquitos, where you can board a luxury cruise vessel to explore the Amazon basin.
  • Spend some time in Lima and fly down to the mysterious Nazca Lines.
  • Include KM104, walking the last 4-6 hours along the famous Inca trail to Machu Picchu.

Day by Day

Day 1London - Madrid - Lima

Fly from the UK to Lima with a change of planes in Madrid. Arrival transfer to hotel.

Day 2Lima

Enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of Lima.

Day 3Lima - Cuzco

Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Cuzco. Arrival transfer to hotel and afternoon to relax and acclimitise to the altitude.

Day 4Cuzco

Enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of Cuzco and nearby Inca ruins.

Day 5Cuzco

Free time to further explore Cuzco.

Day 6Cuzco - Sacred Valley of Incas

This morning you will be collected from your hotel for an excursion into the stunning Sacred Valley. Your guide will show you some of the highlights including Incan ruins and colourful local markets. At the end of the day you will be taken to your hotel in the valley.

Day 7Sacred Valley of Incas - Machu Picchu

This morning you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the train station in order to travel to Machu Picchu. Your guide will spend the day with you conducting a tour of the ruins (entrance fee included). You will then be taken to your hotel.

Day 8Machu Picchu - Cuzco

Another opportunity to return to the ruins and explore by yourselves, at your own pace. Entrance fee to the ruins to be paid locally before taking the train back to Cuzco and be met at the station . You will then be transferred to your hotel.

Day 9Cuzco - Lima

You will be collected from your hotel again to return to the airport. From Cuzco, you will fly to Lima and then take your international flight home.

Day 10Madrid

Arrive in the UK
