The Galapagos Islands
One of our long term favourite sail boats operating in the Galapagos, the Sagitta has an air of charm not matched by many others. With many communal areas dotted around it is very easy to escape other guests for peace and quiet but a cozy bar and dining area are a great setting for group lectures and meeting other guests.
The Sagitta is a a 120-foot steel-hulled graceful and spacious three-masted sailing yacht.
Rebuilt to carry just 16 guests, she actually has ten double air-conditioned cabins each with one double lower and one single upper berth.
Every cabin has its own en-suite bathroom with hot-water showers. Almost all cabins are identical in size and layout and all are lit by one porthole. Six cabins are on the main deck with four more on the lower deck.
Facilities on board include a library/video lecture-room, an upper-deck saloon/bar, a shaded al fresco dining area and an ample upper deck for lounging, birding, watching dolphins off the bowsprit or stargazing.
The Sagitta boasts five different, isolated public areas.
