Day by Day

Day 1London

Overnight flight from the UK to Borneo.

Day 2Kuala Lumpur - Kuching

Upon arrival in Kuching you will be met by your driver and guide and taken to your hotel where you can spend your first afternoon at leisure, be it relaxing at your hotel or having a wander around town.

Day 3Kuching

Enjoy the day discovering the history and beauty of the riverside city of Kuching.

Day 4Kuching - Lemanak River

Leave Kuching and visit the Semenggok Orang-utan Sanctuary in time for the morning feeding session. Then you will continue the journey on to Batang Ai and the Lemanak River where you will stay the night in a native longhouse with the Iban tribe, descendants of the infamous headhunters!

Day 5Lemanak River - Batang Ai

Your Iban host will teach you how the tribe live off the natural recourses of the jungle before heading to more comfortable accommodation at the nearby Hilton resort.

Day 6Batang Ai - Kuching

Leave Batang Ai and head back to Kuching. You will arrive back here in time for dinner.

Day 7Kuching

Spend the day in Bako National Park where your guide will help you spot some of Borneo's stunning wildlife such as proboscis monkey, bearded pig and hornbill.

Day 8Kuching - Kuala Lumpur - Tioman Island

Transfer back to the airport for the early flight to KL. Here you will be met at the international terminal and transferred to the Subang terminal for the flight to Tioman. Once on Tioman, you will be escorted to the jetty for the boat to the resort.

Day 9Tioman Island

At leisure at the JapaMala, relax in the spa or take your place on the beach.

Day 10Tioman Island

Why not try some snorkelling off the jetty or head in to the rainforest behind the hotel.

Day 11Tioman Island

Enjoy your final full day away at leisure at the JapaMala.

Day 12Tioman Island - Kuala Lumpur

Take the boat back to the airport for the flight to Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and taken to the international airport in time to board your overnight flight home.

Day 13London

Arrive in to the UK early this morning.
