Golden Island Cottages

Golden Island Cottages comprises two resorts; Nampan and Thale U.

Both are built in traditional Shan style and whilst the former is located entirely on stilts over the water, Thale U is a little quieter and newer, and is situated on the banks of the lake so guests can enjoy a stroll on dry land.

Golden Island Cottages is a co-operative project, run and staffed by the local Pa-O people, and revenue is directed towards community development.

There is a good restaurant and on some evenings there is traditional Shan dance and music.
