With the comfort and personality for which the Orient-Express is famous, the Road to Mandalay provides the most comfortable vantage point from which to absorb the surrounding serene beauty.
All cabins are carefully designed and equipped with en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. On deck there is a swimming pool and shaded seating, providing the ideal setting to savour the peaceful serenity of the Irrawaddy.
The Road to Mandalay travels between Mandalay and Bagan throughout the year apart from May and June. Three, four and seven night cruises are available or guests can choose to travel further afield. In August a cruise sails northwards through breathtaking gorges and forgotten villages to Bhamo, situated close to the Chinese Border (eleven nights) and another in September explores the Chindwin, one of Asia's great rivers (nine nights).
