Day by Day

Day 1London

Depart London for Siem Reap via Singapore.

Day 2Singapore - Siem Reap

On arrival in Cambodia transfer to your hotel for day to relax after your long flight.

Day 3Siem Reap

In the early morning visit our personal favourite, Ta Prohm. By far the most atmospheric of all the temple ruins, it has been reclaimed by the jungle and is being crushed by massive tree roots. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the legendary Angkor Wat, Bayon and Angkor Thom.

Day 4Siem Reap

Time to experience something different and escape from the temples and town of Siem Reap with a boat trip on Southeast Asia's largest freshwater lake, the Tonle Sap. Visit some of the floating markets and experience the remarkable daily life of the people's lives which are so entwined with this unique biosphere. En route back to Siem Reap, stop off at the enchanting Hindu influenced temples of Banteay Srei and Samre. Your journey takes you through small traditional villages and the Cambodian countryside giving you a glimpse of more rural life.

Day 5Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

Late this morning catch your flight to Phnom Penh. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 6Phnom Penh

A full day touring the sights and sounds of Phnom Penh with your private guide and driver. In the morning you will be able to visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, home of the Emerald Buddha. The afternoon features visits to elements of Cambodia's recent history.

Day 7Phnom Penh - Kratie

Depart Phnom Penh for the overland transfer to Kratie. This afternoon board a small boat and cruise along the Mekong looking for the rare Irrawady dolphin.

Day 8Kratie - Ban Lung

Continue to Ban Lung in the remote northeast of Cambodia by road.

Day 9Ban Lung

Formerly one of the last strongholds of the Khmer Rouge during the 1960s, spend the day exploring the highlights of the region with an experienced guide.

Day 10Ban Lung

Continue visiting some local villages and waterfalls in the region.

Day 11Ban Lung - Kratie - Sen Monorom

Travel back to Kratie and onto the ELIE project at Sen Monorom today. On arrival you will meet the elephant herd and learn a little about the forest bio diversity in the area.

Day 12Sen Monorom

Spend the day with the elephants, helping bath and feed them with their friendly mahout guide.

Day 13Sen Monorom - Phnom Penh

Return to Phnom Penh by road today.

Day 14Phnom Penh - Kampot

Travel south to the colonial town of Kampot today. En route visit some of the pre-Angkorian cave pagodas including Wat Kirisan and Phnom Chhnork.

Day 15Kampot - Koh Kong

Continue to the region of the Cardamom Mountains for a couple of nights relaxing at the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge.

Day 16Koh Kong

Visit the impressive Tatai River and waterfall by boat.

Day 17Koh Kong - Kep

Continue along the coast to the sleepy coastal town of Kep.

Day 18Kep

Day at leisure to relax and enjoy Kep.

Day 19Kep

Take a trip to nearby Rabbit Island.

Day 20Kep - Phnom Penh - Singapore

Travel overland back to Phnom Penh for your flight back to Singapore and onto the UK.
