Day 1London
Fly from London with Thai Airways to Bangkok on the evening departure.
Connect through Bangkok and arrive in Siem Reap, Cambodia in the early evening. On arrival you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel.
An early start to visit Ta Prohm, by far the most atmospheric of all the ruins. Seeing this temple at dawn avoids the crowds and allows you to witness the temple emerge slowly from the dark until it reveals itself in all its ruined finery. This is followed after breakfast by a private tour of the biggest and best temples, including the inimitable Angkor Wat itself.
This morning you head out on to the famous Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating villages. The afternoon is left free for you to relax.
Leaving Siem Reap this morning you will be driven west, to the quiet town of Battambang. You are free to stop along the way to take photographs or refreshment or just to stretch your legs.
Spend the day exploring the sights of Battambang with your guide and driver.
Today you will continue on the road, heading south to Phnom Penh, the capital. En route you stop at Oudong, the site of the old capital to enjoy some wonderful views of the Cambodian countryside.
This morning's tour is one with a difference - it takes you on a journey around the capital's most significant architectural structures, building them into the story of Phnom Penh's development. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or to explore at your leisure.
Heading out on the road again today you will be driven south to the small coastal community of Kep.
A day trip to the nearby old colonial town of Kampot.
A short boat trip over to Rabbit Island to spend the day relaxing on the beach.
Day at leisure.
A leisurely start to the day and then a transfer back to Phnom Penh to catch your flight home via Bangkok.
You fly out of Bangkok just after midnight and arrive back in the UK in the early morning.
