Day by Day

Day 1London

Depart the UK today bound for Thailand at the beginning of your adventure in Cambodia and Laos.

Day 2Bangkok - Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle

Change plane in Bangkok and fly onto Chiang Rai. On arrival this evening transfer to your hotel in the Golden Triangle.

Day 3Golden Triangle

Today is your chance to learn how to be a mahout. Enjoy all aspects from washing and feeding to riding your elephant, this really is a fantastic experience.

Day 4Golden Triangle

Enjoy a day at leisure; perhaps just relax at your hotel or you may wish to further explore the local area.

Day 5Golden Triangle - Huay Xai - Pakbeng

An early start this morning bound for the border with Laos. After crossing the border board the Luang say Cruise and gentle sail along the mighty Mekong watching rural life on the river banks drift by and taking in the scenery. Late afternoon you moor in Pakbeng and enjoy an evening at the charming Luang Say Lodge set by the river.

Day 6Pakbeng - Luang Prabang

Continue your cruise downstream along the Mekong heading for Luang Prabang today. On arrival transfer to your hotel and you have the rest of the day free to explore this charming town. This evening perhaps head for the night market where local tribeswoman come to sell their wares.

Day 7Luang Prabang

Today you have a full day discovering Luang Prabang with your own guide.

Day 8Luang Prabang

Visit the Kuang Si Waterfalls today, a popular place for locals, at this time of the year they should be brimming with water at this time of year making it an ideal time to visit and see them in all their glory. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish.

Day 9Luang Prabang - Siem Reap

Transfer to the airport this morning in plenty of time for your flight to Siem Reap, home to the majestic Temples of Angkor. On arrival transfer to your hotel and enjoy an afternoon of exploring on your own; perhaps enjoy a walk into town.

Day 10Siem Reap

An early start will be rewarded by a visit to the spectacular Ta Prohm Temple. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the infamous Angkor Wat, Bayon and Angkor Thom of the ancient empire of bygone years.

Day 11Siem Reap

This morning you will visit the beautiful temples of Banteay. These unusual temples glow pink as the sun rises. This afternoon you will have the opportunity to explore the oldest of all the Angkor era temples, the Roulos Group.

Day 12Siem Reap

Today you have at your disposal your driver and guide so you can re-visit some of your favourite temples or perhaps some smaller monuments. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat trip on the fascinating Tonle Sap lake, having the opportunity to see some stilted villages which appear to hover on the water's surface.

Day 13Siem Reap - Bangkok

You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport in plenty of time for your flight to Bangkok. Change planes and travel onto the UK arriving home this evening.
