Day by Day

Day 1London

Your flight to London departs this evening.

Day 2Bangkok - Phnom Penh

In Bangkok you change planes for your flight to Phnom Penh. Arriving in the capital your Cambodian guide and driver will be there to greet you and take you to your hotel.

Day 3Phnom Penh

This morning you have a half day tour around some of the city`s cultural sights including the Royal Palace and National museum. In the afternoon you have the chance to visit the harrowing Cheong Ek Killing Fields and S21 museum. Both are emotive and interesting places to visit and provide the opportunity to learn more about Cambodia's turbulent recent history.

Day 4Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

You have a private transfer from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap by road. En route you will stop to see the pre-Angkorian temple Sambor Prei Kuk.

Day 5Siem Reap

This morning you visit the Roluos group of temples before visiting the bathing pond of Sra Srang and the Buddhist monastery Banteay Kdei.

Day 6Siem Reap

Rising early your guide will show you around Ta Prohm temple at dawn, seeing this `lost to the jungle` temple at this time lessens the chances of sharing the experience with lots of other tour groups. From here you continue on to see the giant pyramid of Takeo. This afternoon you visit the sister temple of Ta Prohm, Preah Khan, which was built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century.

Day 7Siem Reap

A slight diversion from the temples is Kbal Spean, also known as the river of a thousand lingas, here you can see the many stone carvings on the river bed. This afternoon you visit the pink sandstone temples of Banteay Srei and near by Banteay Samre.

Day 8Siem Reap

Travelling further a field you can visit the vast ruins of Beng Melea, which like Ta Prohm has been consumed by the jungle. You then travel to the remote Angkor capital of Koh Ker.

Day 9Siem Reap

This morning your guide will take you to the scenic Tonle Sap lake, where you can visit the floating village of Kompong Khleang. The rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure.

Day 10Siem Reap

Your final day will be spend exploring the awesome temple of Angkor Wat as well as Angkor Thom and the impressive Bayon.

Day 11Siem Reap

Day at leisure.

Day 12Siem Reap - Bangkok

You have a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. In Bangkok you change planes for your flight to London.
