This tour takes in Burma in all its diversity, from the glistening spires of Rangoon’s Shwedagon Pagoda to the old colonial hill station of Maymyo (Pyin Oo Lwin), visiting the floating gardens and stilted monasteries of Inle Lake and exploring the atmospheric pagodas of the former capital, Pagan.
Extensions
Burma’s best beach is at Ngapali and is easily reached by direct flights from Pagan, Rangoon or Heho near Inle Lake. A short flight from Rangoon to Bangkok brings all of Thailand’s idyllic beaches within easy reach, or for the ultimate finale take a quick flight to Cambodia from Bangkok and explore the magnificent temples of Angkor. With good onward connections to Rangoon, both Kuala Lumpur and Singapore can also be added on as interesting stopover destinations.
