Cambodian government to develop Hindu temple site: 25-03-2008

The Cambodian government has announced plans to propose Prasat Preah Vihear, one of the greatest Khmer temples of its era, to the Unesco World Heritage committee for listing as an official World Heritage Site.
Located in countryside to the east of the Dongrek Mountains, the sacred Hindu temple was built over the course of 300 years, with building beginning in the 9th century.
As well as the temple itself, visitors can expect stunning views from the cliff top on which it is built.
