Following a five year career in media, Charlie caught the travel bug and took a 16 month trip encompassing Southeast Asia, Australasia and the Pacific. Not wishing to go back to London or the media world, Charlie moved to Oxfordshire and joined Audley in 2003 to pursue his passion for travel. Since then, Charlie has renewed his acquaintance with all corners of Southeast Asia, in particular Indochina and Thailand, and he has also returned to visit Bali and Lombok. Charlie is Audley's most experienced country specialist and when he is not planning itineraries he enjoys playing cricket for the Audley Ducks, the company cricket club he co-founded in 2004, as well as playing golf and tennis.
After graduating with a degree in History, Jack took a year out, to combine travel and work in Thailand, Indochina, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. After returning to the UK Jack interspersed working in recruitment and sales and marketing with numerous extended visits to Indochina and Thailand. His enthusiasm for the region led him to Audley in 2006 to share his passion, knowledge and experience of Southeast Asia with our clients. Since joining Audley he has re-visited Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia and added Indonesia to his portfolio following an extensive tour of the region. In his free time, Jack enjoys outdoor activities including skiing, walking, cycling, running, squash and diving. A sociable character, Jack enjoys attending gigs and meeting with friends in pubs and clubs.
After graduating with a degree in Modern Languages from Oxford University, Laura set off on a year trip to see the world. She began her travels in Southeast Asia where she fell in love with the charm of Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam before moving on to spend time in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, the Cook Islands and the USA. A career in Estate Agency followed however after almost two years of selling houses Laura decided that she could no longer fight the travel urge and joined Audley as an Indochina specialist. When not dreaming of new countries to visit, Laura tries to go to the gym, enjoys cooking and the occasional bit of shopping!
Having over the years built up a love for travel, in 2002, Lyn decided to travel the world for a year. Returning to the UK nearly two years later she was lucky enough to have travelled and worked her way through Southeast Asia, Australasia and South America. After this she had well and truly caught the travel bug, in particular developing a love for Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. However it was only after returning to her career in publishing that Lyn realised her obsession with travel and discovering new countries. It seemed a natural progression to change career to one in the travel industry, in order to continue and develop her love for travel and use her knowledge to allow others to experience the countries about which she is passionate.
In 2001 Mark left the security of his Home Office job and set off with his partner on a one-way ticket to India with the intention of doing a two year round-the-world journey. He spent the next 18 months travelling India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Laos and Vietnam before arriving in Cambodia in 2003. Unable to tear himself away from Cambodia, he found work in the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh and settled down to a wonderful life for two and a half years. During his stay he travelled extensively throughout Cambodia and the neighbouring countries. He returned to the UK in 2005 and started working for Audley where he enjoys sharing his knowledge, experience and his deep affection for Indochina.
Matthew has been a keen traveller to Southeast Asia from an early age and has since returned on numerous occasions with his passion and enthusiasm for this region growing with each visit. After graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in Politics, he decided to become a cabin crew member for a major airline. During his two and half years in this role he managed to take a number of extended holidays within Southeast Asia, in Cambodia particularly. Since joining Audley, Matthew has revisited all three countries of Indochina to renew his enthusiasm and now he uses his specialist knowledge and passion to help others enjoy this unique corner of the world. Outside of work Matthew is an avid sports fan, and can often be found at Stamford Bridge watching Chelsea.
Victoria has had a taste for travel since spending a year travelling around Australasia and Southeast Asia, with a significant amount of time spent in Indochina. After a number of years working in London, Victoria ventured to Central America and then Oman where she worked as a scuba diving instructor. However, it is the region of Indochina for which she has a true passion. Her work at Audley has given her the opportunity to revisit the region and gain further experience of the stunning scenery, enchanting cities and relaxed pace of life in this unique area of the world. Most recently Victoria has returned from a trip to Papua New Guinea where she especially enjoyed meeting the mudmen and experiencing the fantastic diving opportunities.
After graduating and working in Trading Standards for two years, Zoe embarked on a nine month travelling adventure. She started by visiting Fiji, New Zealand and Australia before taking in the delights of Southeast Asia and China. Not only did she discover a love of travelling, but she also realised that working in the travel industry would be her career of choice when returning home. Joining Audley has allowed Zoe to return to the beautiful and fascinating countries of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. It also means she can now share her passion and knowledge regarding Indochina with others. Outside of work Zoe enjoys photography, walking and planning her next holiday!
