Newly opened in August 2007 this is a wonderful and welcome new addition to the simple lodges available in Southern Laos. The 24 room lodge is located on the tranquil island of Dong Daeng, a mere 35 km from Pakse airport and the famous archaeological site of Wat Phou is just a twenty minute boat ride across the river to Champasak. Each simple but comfortably appointed room is housed within a bungalow and affords magnificent views across the Mekong towards the ruins of Wat Phou. The lodge offers a refreshing swimming pool (one of the few properties to do so in the south) and also has bikes available to explore the traditional riverside life of the island.
