On This Trip
- Discover vibrant Kuala Lumpur
The east coast of the peninsula boasts some of Malaysia’s most interesting cultural regions. From the busy local markets of Kuala Terengganu to the stunning beaches and sea life of Tioman Island, this tour takes you to a part of Malaysia that is often overlooked. This tour is only recommended between March and October due to the winter monsoon but would combine well with visits to the colonial cities of Malacca or Singapore.
Extensions
This tour is best taken in our summer months and combines well with Borneo, which also has good weather at this time, and where you can visit the orang-utan sanctuary at Sepilok or go wildlife spotting on the Kinabatangan River. An easy drive between Tioman and Singapore allows a couple of nights in Singapore to be readily incorporated into the itinerary.
